    New disclosure guidelines require public company board members to enhance their cybersecurity acumen to effectively conduct oversight.
    The Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence and the NYU School of Law are partnering to offer a certificate program exclusively designed for board members to help elevate cyber literacy.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Program cohorts are kept small, at approximately 24 students, to ensure enhanced interaction and participation.

    Participants are expected to attend the weekly sessions and complete all necessary coursework. While examinations will not be administered and grades will not be issued, certification will be provided only upon completion of a final paper to demonstrate mastery of the materials. Where granted approval by participants, final papers may be launched and distributed through the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence to Nasdaq’s global community of board members, leaders and governance professionals with recognition of the author as a being a Cyber Scholar.

     

    Upon successful completion of this course, board members will receive a NYU Law-Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence Cyber Scholar Certificate, demonstrating their commitment to ongoing education.

    Program graduates will be made members of the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence and have access to further learning opportunities for ongoing professional development. 

    Additionally, a LinkedIn badge will be provided relating to the certificate along with instructions on how to add this to your LinkedIn profile.
