Nasdaq eVestment™ for Asset Owners
Diversity & Inclusion Data available in Nasdaq eVestment™
Complimentary access to insights on fund manager diversity & inclusion from Nasdaq eVestment™ for Asset Owners
Through the Nasdaq eVestment™ platform, Nasdaq has made its asset manager diversity and inclusion (D&I) data available free of charge to qualifying investors. Since its launch in January 2021, the data set has grown steadily and today about 1 in 5 managers who report to Nasdaq eVestment provide some level of D&I data. This represents 700 managers, covering nearly 7,000 products.
As public and private markets continue to be challenged by a wide range of factors, investors need every advantage available to them. Access to D&I data provides investors with valuable insights on existing and potential fund managers to further support their portfolio decision-making.
In collaboration with the Institutional Investing Diversity Cooperative, a consortium of over a dozen top investment consultants, eVestment began collecting diversity and inclusion data in December 2020.
Asset owners can now screen managers to identify those that have provided D&I commentary and/or statistics. In addition to firm ownership, you can now screen on multiple questions on staffing and people, at both the firm and product level.

In February 2022, Nasdaq for Asset Owners bolstered their public markets D&I data set by adding private fund manager data. Nasdaq has worked with the Institutional Limited Partners’ Association (ILPA) and FCLTGlobal to ensure its data collection practices align with ILPA’s newly published Diversity Metrics template, and the respective guidelines published by each group. By aligning to these industry standards, Nasdaq aims to reduce barriers for fund managers providing data and in turn facilitate ease of access for asset owners.

“We’re thrilled to see Nasdaq adopt the designations and structure of our Diversity Metrics template into their D&I data collection initiative and to also take a significant step in driving transparency into the level of progress the industry is making around diversity.”
