Boeing’s Last 747 Rolls Out of the Factory, Closing the Era of Jumbo Jets

It was a historic evening Tuesday night in Everett, Washington, as the last 747 ever assembled left Boeing’s factory. The freighter is now on its way delivered to the cargo carrier Atlas Air, which is scheduled to take the plane early next year. Tim Stenovec looks back at the 747’s more than 50-year history, and the way the airplane changed air travel forever.
