The Financial Markets Act provides for the regulation of financial markets; it covers regulation and controls securities trading and prohibits market abuse.

Overview: This law provides for the regulation of financial markets. It covers the licensing and regulation of exchanges, central securities depositories, clearing houses and trade repositories. It regulates and controls securities trading, clearing and settlement and the custody and administration of securities. It prohibits insider trading and other market abuses. In addition, it provides for the approval of nominees and codes of conduct.
