George Vlachos

George Vlachos is an experienced Corporate Governance Professional, a Global Strategist, and an Organizational Development Leader with extensive international experience in the Advisory Industry for Corporate Transformation, Board & ExCom Architecture, Composition & Evaluation. Formerly, George worked for more than 30 years as Senior Executive in various industries, holding Organization Development, Strategy, and Corporate Governance positions as a Managing Director and Board Member.
For over a decade he successfully managed 96 countries in Europe, Middle East & Africa for the large US corporation, Mattel Inc. as Regional Managing Director. Since 2013, he has been focusing on Corporate Governance Transformation, Corporate Governance Leadership and Structures for Board Effectiveness and Performance against sustainable long-term strategies.
George is a global member of the Financial Times Non-Executive Directors Club, he is a member of and a certified Director from the IoD, U.K. He is member of the GR Non-Executive Directors Club, the Association of Chief Executive Officers, and the Corporate Governance Committee of Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce, for Greece. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Marketing from Nottingham Trent University. He has attended and received specialized training in Executive education for Leadership, Strategy & Organization Development from Thunderbird University USA and the Creative Center of Leadership USA and INSEAD Europe. He is a Governance Advisory Council member of The Corporate Governance Institute UK & Ireland.
