Taras Chaban is the Vice President & Global Head of Buy-side Solutions for Market Technology at Nasdaq. Previously, Chaban was Co-founder and CEO of recently acquired, Sybenetix. Chaban was responsible for pioneering the development of organizational behavioral analytics and leading a team of world-class experts in technology, behavioral science and finance, working with financial institutions to manage the strategic impact of behavior on operations and culture. 

Chaban brings over 20 years of industry experience with a variety of front office roles. Before founding Sybenetix, Taras worked as a fund manager at hedge fund GLG Partners, a proprietary trader at Dresdner Kleinwort and Credit Suisse and principal consultant at software company Mathworks Inc. An expert in machine learning, Chaban holds M.Phil. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Liverpool.
