According to financial-planning.com, women currently control 51% – or $14 trillion – of personal wealth in the United States…yet most advisors continue to focus on building relationships with men.
This obvious disconnect causes women to feel overlooked and walk away from their advisors altogether after a divorce or after their spouse passes away…and take their money with them. With the divorce rate among U.S. adults ages 50 and older having doubled since the 1990s, as reported by a Pew Research Center report, this is less-than-ideal news for your practice.
