American Funds American High-Income F1 Fund ( AHTFX ) seeks high level of current income, with capital appreciation as a secondary goal. AHTFX invests at least 65% of the portfolio in high-yield, high-risk bonds and other similar securities, including preferred stocks. AHTFX may invest up to 25% of assets in common stocks or equity-related securities. AHTFX also invests in intermediate to long-term securities. A team of three portfolio counselors manages AHTFX.
