The First Trust Nasdaq Semiconductor ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 757,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 43,000. Shares of FTXL were down about 1.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Nvidia, trading down about 1.3% with over 108.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Intel, up about 2.5% on volume of over 48.2 million shares. Micron Technology is lagging other components of the First Trust Nasdaq Semiconductor ETF Thursday, trading lower by about 4.2%.
