Thursday 4/2 Insider Buying Report: RBRK, GTLB

Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.

On Monday, Rubrik's , Mark D. McLaughlin, made a $502,220 purchase of RBRK, buying 10,638 shares at a cost of $47.21 each. So far McLaughlin is in the green, up about 6.7% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $50.37. Rubrik is trading up about 3.2% on the day Thursday. This buy marks the first one filed by McLaughlin in the past year.

And at GitLab, there was insider buying on Tuesday, by Chief Executive Officer William Staples who purchased 6,010 shares for a cost of $21.35 each, for a total investment of $128,342. Before this latest buy, Staples made one other buy in the past year, purchasing $124,750 shares at a cost of $38.08 each. GitLab is trading up about 1.4% on the day Thursday. So far Staples is in the green, up about 4.8% on their buy based on today's trading high of $22.38.
