Sensex, Nifty Give Up Early Gains

(RTTNews) - Indian shares fluctuated in early trade on Tuesday despite positive cues from global markets.

The benchmark S&P/BSE Sensex was down 92 points, or 0.1 percent, at 78,447, giving up early gains.

The broader NSE Nifty index dropped 32 points, or 0.1 percent, to 23,721.

Bharti Airtel, SBI Life, Shriram Finance, Tata Steel and JSW Steel all fell around 1 percent while TCS and Tata Motors were up around 1 percent each.

Adani Enterprises was little changed after it signed a pact to acquire 85.8 percent shareholding in Air Works India (Engineering).

Kalyani Investment Company fell 1.3 percent after settling a dispute with capital market regulator SEBI.

Waaree Energies edged up slightly after its board approved three investment proposals aggregating Rs 850 crore.

Symphony was moving lower after increasing loan facility for its Australian subsidiary.

Aurionpro Solutions rallied 2.7 percent as it announced expansion into the European market with the acquisition of Fenixys.

Vedanta tumbled 2.6 percent on going ex-dividend.
