NHTSA says Ford to recall over 20K SUVs are battery concerns, Reuters says

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Ford (F) intends to recall 20,484 hybrid crossover SUVs over battery worries, Reuters’ Nathan Gomes reports. “A manufacturing defect in one or more of the high voltage battery cells may result in an internal short circuit and battery failure,” the NHTSA said, noting the recall covers certain Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair vehicles from model years 2020-2024.
