Navitas Semiconductor, Microchip Technology Team On 800V DC Power Design For AI Data Centers

(RTTNews) - Monday, Navitas Semiconductor Corp. (NVTS) and Microchip Technology Inc. (MCHP) announced a collaboration to deliver an 800V DC-to-6V DC reference design for AI data center rack power applications.

The collaboration aims to combine Microchip's digital power control and security technologies with Navitas' GaNFast gallium nitride power devices to give developers a practical path to implement high-efficiency power conversion aligned with the Open Compute Project 800V DC standard.

The reference design will also integrate Microchip's TA100 CryptoAuthentication device to help address growing security requirements within modern power infrastructure, the companies added.

The design, supported with a reference board, software and supporting documentation, will be showcased at Microchip's OCP Event, taking place October 12-15, 2026, in San Jose, California.

In pre-market hours, NVTS was trading at $12.36, down 0.32 percent, and MCHP was trading at $81.46, up 0.17 percent on the Nasdaq.
