MKTX Expands Fixed Income Data Reach Through Arcesium Integration

MarketAxess Holdings Inc. MKTX is expanding the reach of its fixed income data and analytics through a new integration with Arcesium. The agreement brings MarketAxess’ CP+ and TraX datasets into Arcesium’s Aquata and Opterra platforms, allowing hedge funds, institutional asset managers and capital markets firms to access pricing, liquidity and transaction data within their existing workflows.

The integration combines CP+, MKTX’s AI-powered algorithmic pricing engine for global credit and rates markets, with TraX providing daily trade volumes and transaction data for more than 42,000 fixed income instruments. Embedding these datasets into Arcesium’s platforms can support price discovery, liquidity analysis, relative-value assessment and risk analytics while reducing the need for separate data connections.

The latest agreement also builds on MarketAxess’ existing relationship with Arcesium. Since June 2024, Arcesium has integrated MKTX’s Repo Match service into its Opterra platform, enabling automated matching of repo trades against counterparty confirmations. Repo Match connects 127 buy-side and sell-side firms and handles more than $700 billion in average daily matched volume, highlighting the potential reach of MarketAxess’ institutional post-trade solutions.

The expanded relationship could strengthen MKTX’s data and analytics business by placing its proprietary market intelligence deeper within institutional investment workflows. This might increase the utility of the company’s data beyond electronic trading and create additional opportunities to monetize pricing and transaction information across a broader client base. The integration also complements MarketAxess’ focus on expanding higher-value services around its trading network.

The broader opportunity for MKTX lies in extending its role beyond execution and into the day-to-day infrastructure used by institutional market participants. As fixed income markets become increasingly electronic and data-intensive, integrations like this could make the company’s proprietary information more accessible at critical points in the investment process.
