In early trading on Thursday, shares of Merck topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 1.6%. Year to date, Merck has lost about 7.1% of its value.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is NVIDIA, trading down 1.6%. NVIDIA is showing a gain of 176.9% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Caterpillar, trading down 1.2%, and Cisco Systems, trading up 1.2% on the day.
