In early trading on Thursday, shares of International Business Machines topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 9.7%. Year to date, International Business Machines registers a 14.1% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Microsoft, trading down 5.1%. Microsoft is lower by about 0.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Caterpillar, trading down 5.0%, and Sherwin-Williams, trading up 2.1% on the day.
