In early trading on Friday, shares of MMM topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 0.9%. Year to date, MMM registers a 8.4% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Home Depot, trading down 1.6%. Home Depot is lower by about 6.0% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Caterpillar, trading down 1.1%, and JPMorgan Chase, trading up 0.7% on the day.
