The SPDR Gold fund (NYSEArca:GLD) sloughed off $597 million on Monday, July 8; the largest asset loss for a single fund yesterday, and yet another day of retreat for the contiual outflows from the physical gold ETF. Meanwhile, U.S.-listed ETF assets gained overall, closing the day at $1.460 trillion, and the S&P 500 rose 8.57 points, or 0.53 percent, closing at 1,640.46.
