Avricore Expands Community Pharmacy Referral Network With HeartEye Integration

(RTTNews) - Avricore Health Inc. (AVCR) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary HealthTab has completed an integration with HeartEye, a UK provider of AI-based retinal cardiovascular risk assessment, creating a new referral pathway into community pharmacies.

The integration allows people identified as having elevated cardiovascular risk through HeartEye's retinal scan at participating opticians to be referred to nearby HealthTab-enabled pharmacies for further assessment and care.

HeartEye's Dr.Noon CVD test uses artificial intelligence to estimate cardiovascular risk from a retinal scan. Patients flagged as being at elevated risk can have their report QR code scanned into HealthTab at a participating pharmacy.

Pharmacists can then perform a point-of-care cholesterol test, with the results feeding into an automated QRISK3 calculation. The retinal assessment, cholesterol results and cardiovascular risk assessment are displayed together through the HealthTab dashboard.

Avricore said the pathway could support identification, assessment and, where appropriate, treatment within community pharmacies, following the introduction of independent prescribing for newly qualified pharmacists in England from September 2026.

The companies will showcase the integrated solution at The Pharmacy Show 2026 in Birmingham on October 11-12, alongside Abbott's pharmacy-based point-of-care testing solution.

HealthTab provides a cloud-based platform connecting point-of-care testing devices, patient results, quality-control data and pharmacist workflows across community pharmacy networks.

Avricore said the integration could help expand access to cardiovascular risk assessment while providing pharmacy partners with a new pathway for patients identified through community-based screening programs.

AVCR.V has traded between CAD 0.045 and CAD 0.10 over the past year.

The stock closed Wednesday's trading at CAD 0.06, down 7.69%.
