Arthur J. Gallagher Acquires Albany Insurance Services

(RTTNews) - On Thursday, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) announced the acquisition of New Zealand-based Albany Insurance Services Ltd. The terms of the transaction were undisclosed.

Albany Insurance is a retail insurance broker serving commercial and personal clients in Auckland and Canterbury, New Zealand. Its team, led by Jeremy Bleakley, will operate under Carl O'Shea, who heads Gallagher's New Zealand retail brokerage business.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is a global insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting company headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, serving clients in about 130 countries through its own operations and partner network.

On the NYSE, the shares for Arthur & Gallagher were trading 0.96 percent up at $230.30.
