Amazon delayed Microsoft 365 rollout for a year after hack, Bloomberg reports

Amazon (AMZN) delayed the deployment of Microsoft’s (MSFT) cloud-based Microsoft 365 for its 1.5M employees for a year to resolve security concerns about Microsoft’s Midnight Blizzard hack, Bloomberg’s Matt Day reports. After conducting its own analysis of the software, Amazon asked for changes to guard against unauthorized access and create a more detailed accounting of user activity in the apps, some of which Microsoft also markets as Office 365, Day writes. “We believe we’re in a good place to start redeployment next year,” CJ Moses, Amazon’s chief information security officer, said in an interview last week at Amazon Web Services’ re:Invent conference.
