Alphatec (ATEC) Reports Q3 Loss, Tops Revenue Estimates

Alphatec (ATEC) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.28 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.27. This compares to loss of $0.35 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -3.70%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this medical equipment and supplies holding company would post a loss of $0.26 per share when it actually produced a loss of $0.29, delivering a surprise of -11.54%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has not been able to surpass consensus EPS estimates.

Alphatec, which belongs to the Zacks Medical - Instruments industry, posted revenues of $150.72 million for the quarter ended September 2024, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 2.19%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $118.26 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates four times over the last four quarters.

Pacific Biosciences of California's revenues are expected to be $41.9 million, down 24.8% from the year-ago quarter.
