Aceso Life Science Reports FY2026 Profit On Strategic Realignment

(RTTNews) - Aceso Life Science Group Limited (0474.HK) reported a net profit of HK$336 million for the year ended March 31, 2026, reversing a loss of HK$1,017 million in FY2025, driven by disposal gains and improved asset valuations.

Revenue from continuing operations, primarily rental income from the Group's flagship UK property at 55 Mark Lane, rose to HK$58 million from HK$50 million a year earlier.

The turnaround was also supported by gains from the deemed disposal of its subsidiary Hao Tian International Construction Investment Group, which contributed significantly to the profit recovery.

Fair value losses on investment properties narrowed sharply to HK$17 million compared with HK$418 million in FY2025, while financial assets at fair value through profit or loss recorded gains of HK$90 million versus losses at HK$25 million last year.

Administrative expenses increased to HK$81 million from HK$64 million, reflecting higher legal and professional fees tied to refinancing activities. Finance costs remained stable at HK$114 million compared with HK$116 million in FY2025.

On the balance sheet, total assets fell to HK$1.79 billion from HK$3.24 billion, while net assets declined to HK$454 million from HK$744 million. The gearing ratio improved to 69.6% from 74.2% as borrowings reduced to HK$1.18 billion from HK$2.28 billion.

The Group emphasized its strategic transformation into a focused property leasing enterprise, highlighting resilience of its London office asset and ongoing asset enhancement initiatives aimed at upgrading energy performance and tenant appeal. Looking ahead, management expects stable rental yields supported by proactive leasing and refurbishment, while its investment in Imagi International Holdings Limited (IFGL) marks a re-entry into securities investment to diversify income streams.

0474.HK has traded between $0.01 and $0.13 over the past year. The stock is currently trading at $0.11.
