The Copper Miners ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 184,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 39,000. Shares of COPX were off about 2.6% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Freeport-mcmoran, trading off about 0.9% with over 6.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Turquoise Hill Resources, trading flat on volume of over 2.6 million shares. First Quantum Minerals is lagging other components of the Copper Miners ETF Friday, trading lower by about 2.9%.
