SunEdison solar yieldco TerraForm Power files for a $50 million IPO

TerraForm Power, a yieldco spun out of solar power company SunEdison, filed on Thursday with the SEC to raise up to $50 million in an initial public offering. The Beltsville, MA-based company, which was formed in 2014 and booked $26 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2014, plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol TERP. TerraForm Power initially filed confidentially on February 14, 2014. Goldman Sachs, Barclays and Citi are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
