Market Close Report: NASDAQ Composite index closes at 3,254.86 up 15.69 points

Tuesday's session closes with the NASDAQ Composite Index at 3,254.86. The total shares traded for the NASDAQ was over 1.55 billion. Declining stocks led advancers by 1.27 to 1 ratio. There were 1086 advancers and 1379 decliners for the day. On the NASDAQ Stock Exchange 57 stocks reached a 52 week high and 17 those reaching lows totaled. The NASDAQ 100 index closed up .84% for the day; a total of 23.55 points. The current value is 2,820.62. Randgold Resources Limited ( GOLD ) had the largest percent change down (-2.48%) while Nuance Communications, Inc. ( NUAN ) had the largest percent change gain rising 5.7%.

The Dow Jones index closed up .61% for the day; a total of 89.16 points. The current value is 14,662.01. Hewlett-Packard Company ( HPQ ) had the largest percent change down (-5.19%) while UnitedHealth Group Incorporated ( UNH ) had the largest percent change gain rising 4.7%.
