Arnold Schneider and Schneider Capital Reduce Holdings in 4 Stocks

Arnold Schneider ( Trades , Portfolio ), founder of Schneider Capital, has most recently sold 1,447,080 shares owned between these four companies: SunTrust Banks ( NYSE:STI ), Marriott International ( MAR ), Citigroup ( C ) and Carnival Corp. ( CCL ).

Schneider Capital primarily focuses on deep value equity investing. It currently has $506 million in assets as of Sept. 15.

SunTrust Banks was incorporated in 1984 in the state of Georgia. SunTrust Banks provide financial services to consumer, business and corporate clients.

Schneider and his group reduced their stake by selling 749,290 shares of SunTrust Banks, a 42.68% reduction in their holding.

SunTrust Banks has a market cap of $21.41 billion, a P/E ratio of 12.00, a P/S ratio of 2.74, and a dividend yield of 2.10.

Marriott International was incorporated in Delaware in 1997 and became a public company in 1998. The company is an operator, franchisor and licensor of hotels and timeshare properties under different brand names. It also operates, develops and markets residential properties and provides services to home/condominium owner associations. The company operates, franchises or licenses 4,175 properties, with 714,765 rooms as of year-end 2014 inclusive of 41 home and condominium products of which it manages the related owners' associations.

It has a market cap of $18.81 billion, a P/E ratio of 23.52, a P/S ratio of 1.4 and a dividend yield of 1.25.

Schneider and his group have decided to reduce their holding by selling 110,980 shares, a reduction of 71.99% in their position of Marriott International.

Citigroup, a banking and financial services provider, was another holding that was recently reduced by Schneider Capital. It sold 169,501 shares, reducing its stake by 62.61%.

Citigroup has a market cap of $157.02 billion, a P/E ratio of 12.00, a P/S ratio of 2.13 and a dividend yield of 0.30.

Founded in Panama in 1972 Carnival is a cruise company and one of the largest vacation companies in the world with a market cap of $40.58 billion. The company operates 100 cruise ships within a portfolio of 10 leading cruise brands that sell cruise products and services in all the world's major vacation markets.

Schneider Capital sold 417,309 shares, reducing its holding by 42.13%.

Schneider and his group are focused on the long term for value. Generally speaking they aren't looking for risky investments that are high variance when there is a market correction; therefore they reduced their holdings in these companies.
